Stopping at the end of a round of a colorwork project is always something that has caused me a bit of anxiety. So many times there is a new color starting or change of pattern and I don't want to start it. I will use one of the ring clasp markers to hold my place until I am ready to start again and thought it might be helpful for you as well.
