It's bold to say but I want FiberCrafty to be a household name in the knitting community. If someone wants to buy from an indie business online, I want to them to turn to FiberCrafty first. A rising tide lifts everyone and together we can do a lot for the industry while helping each other out. I also want FiberCrafty to be what the community wants.

Dealing with the pain was difficult and I really needed to find a way to transform it. That's how I started dyeing really. I transformed my emotions and memories into colors and poured them onto bare yarn thus giving life to something new beautiful yet meaningful.

I use plant materials (leaves, flowers, etc.) to make prints on fabric using a technique called bundle dyeing.  It’s so much fun and opening a bundle is like opening a present.  You’re never sure exactly what you’ll get, but it’s always beautiful.

Gosh, I get my inspiration from everywhere! Nature, artwork, fandoms.... but I think words seem to inspire me most. For example, Queenie from Fantastic Beasts said 'Giggle water', and this crazy fun colorway just popped into mind, and I had to dye it up that day!

I have always had a love for traditional pottery pieces...the kind of pieces you find in recreated historical villages. I used to search for them at antique stores but they were almost always cracked or chipped (or way out of my budget).  I yearned to take classes and try to recreate those pieces myself.

When I was pregnant with my first child, Emma. An aunt told me I should give knitting a try, it all snowballed from there!!

Soon after I was buying looms and crochet hooks and a year later I was learning how to knit, it took me some time to finally get the hang of it but I had a great time learning!!

I make handwoven drawstring and zippered project and accessory bags. I enjoy weaving the fabric for them and playing around with the warps to change the look of the hand dyed yarns I use. Something woven on a black warp looks completely different from that same yarn woven on a white warp.
