Handmade holiday inspiration
As Christmas-time rolls around, I’m a bit frantic with shows and shipping orders, but I also carve out time for spending with family and friends. It’s such a beautiful time of year!
My family has an Annual Cookie Baking Day and Santa Party (so much fun!) and I always make caramels for my friends and neighbors. And yes, I sneak a few for myself… that’s the maker’s privilege 😉
The cold weather has me thinking a lot about the functionality of my knitted garments. Last year, I finished a Guthrie Sweater by Caitlin Hunter and I’ve decided I’m going to steek it and make it into a cardigan. I hope to get that finished by the end of this month!
I’ve done a round-up of some fantastic December-inspired goodies that I thought you’d love to see. In addition to thinking warm thoughts, it’s also a great time of year to see if you can do some of your shopping with a small business.
I am only able to live out my dream making stitch markers because of my amazing customers, and so when I’m shopping for a gift, I make sure to check out other makers, first! Here are a few gorgeous goodies:
Knitting Ring by Geschmeide Unter Teck
Wooden Needle Box by Ideas In Wood
Circular Needle Case by Quince Pie
Knitting Illustration by Caitriona Sweeney
Sheep Tea Towel by Mary Kilvert
Knitting Tree Ornament by Nevada Knits
Bring Me My Yarn Socks by If The Sock Fitz
Alpaca Mug by Mugs by Mad Kitty Media
Of course, if you haven’t gotten your holiday stitch markers, the Holiday 2019 collection is still available, here. Treat yourself!
I hope you have a warm and family-filled December with lots of knitting!
