Going from Glass to Print

Going from Glass to Print

Over the past couple years I have been working towards shifting my focus from creating stitch markers and progress keepers from glass to creating designs and illustrations.  Glass has been a part of my creative process for the past 15+ years and for the last 10 years I have been at my torch almost daily.

Now I am creating with an apple pen, watercolor and pens instead of glass rods almost every day.  I still turn my torch on every once in a while and some things will definitely be offered in the future. There are also issues  with supplies.  I have unable to get the ring clasps and have none left in my inventory.

I have a definite style when I create in glass, especially where animals are concerned.  When I first started drawing animal faces, I envisioned how I would go about making it in glass which resulted in a digital version of the animals in my style!

It is fun to see my 1/2 inch glass stitch markers turn into something much bigger, like this 10x10 print or a 3 inch sticker.
