A Brick and Mortar Shop!

A Brick and Mortar Shop!

May is over and a new adventure begins. As mentioned in a previous post, I am part of a trio that founded The Speedway Artist Collective. Our first formal activity was a "May on Main" retail shop featuring local artists that create work inspired by the Indianapolis 500 and racing in general.  It was a huge success and now we are preparing for our second phase, a permanent brick and mortar shop.  The shop will include local artists who create a wide variety of work and will not be totally focused on Indy 500 items, except in the month of May.

As for myself, I will continue to create my glass stitch markers and progress keepers and even offer some hand knit baby items.  This will also allow me to offer my other creative work, such as jewelry, watercolor and some of my digital art.  At some point, I may offer these items on the website, but for now, I will only have my stitch markers available here along with my knitting course.

All of this has really helped me with the anniversary of my husband's death.  Knitting has been part of my daily activities. Since the warm weather is here, I am knitting up baby items and really enjoying creating these Baby Converse.

Unfortunately, the pattern for this specific pattern is no longer available but there are some on Ravelry that are similar.
